Contract Type: Freelance, Fixed Term Monday 16th November 2026 – Sunday 3rd January 2027
Due to the nature of this contract, successful applicants will be required to attend all dates stated in the attached schedule. Rest days are outlined in the schedule.
Hours: As per attached Pantomime Schedules and requirements of Job Description
Fee: £1142.26 weekly fee, plus £137.87 Holiday pay per week.
Subsistence in line with 2026 UK Theatre rates and Travel will also be payable if successful applicants address is further than 25 miles from the venue.
Location: Rehearsals will take place at Norwich Theatre Stage Two. Performances at Norwich Theatre Royal.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Stage Manager to manage rehearsals, pre-production, performances and stage management strike of our Pantomime production. This role will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the rehearsal room and performances and will provide information for show reports. This role will supervise, oversee and support extra events such as filming, photo shoots, educational workshops, assisted performances, and any other contextual or publicity events as required, alongside the Creative team.
About you
With demonstrable experience as a Stage Manager previously in a theatre or touring production, you will have overseen running of rehearsal rooms and technical systems and have a working knowledge of the functions and capabilities of production systems. You will have strong team skills and be able to effectively manage a team. You will also be able to work flexibility, with varied hours as documented the in schedule.
